Challenge
Egger, a global manufacturer of wood-based materials, strives to achieve the highest levels of quality, reliability, and on-time delivery. To achieve this, purchasing teams must secure goods and services at the right cost while ensuring supply continuity. Before Archlet, sourcing was handled mainly through Excel and email. Tenders lacked transparency, negotiations were scattered across inboxes, and data was often stored in private folders. “We used to handle most tenders manually with Excel and email,” says Catherine Frey, Process & Systems Senior Specialist. “It was time-consuming and lacked transparency.”
Solution
In 2023, Egger adopted Archlet to make sourcing more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly. What stood out was the intuitive design, supplier-friendly setup, and advanced bid analytics including scenario optimization. “From the very first demo it was clear Archlet removed barriers,” Catherine explains. “Suppliers register and bid easily, and our teams can invite new suppliers directly to expand competition.” Because Archlet is simple to use, even colleagues who only run tenders occasionally can work in the tool without training.
